7/31/04

1. Passing the vertical strike to the outside using a diagonal sweep and reverse triangle footwork.
a. Counter with double force strikes.

b. Counter with stick and forearm choke (armpit lock method).

c. Counter with stick and forearm choke (butt end of stick into neck method).

d. Counter with takedown and c above.

2. Passing the punch to the outside using an open hand sweep and reverse triangle footwork.

a. Counter with heel hand strike to sternum and knee to groin.

b. Counter with single or double leg takedown and strikes to throat.

3. Drop in under punch and takedown by sweeping the legs.

 

8/14/04

1. Defense against rear double arm grab to waist.
a. Drop to all fours to stabilize against pull.

b. Drop to all fours and grab opponent's nearest leg. Execute takedown and finalize with leg crank.

2. Defense against rear standing choke.

a. Grab arm and throw.

b. Grab arm and stump walk 180 degrees then throw.

3. Defense against grab to shoulder.

a. Wrap arm and crank elbow.

b. Wrap arm, extend leg, and crank elbow.

4. Blocking a low #5 thrust with stick in double grip.

a. Counter with strike #11 to head.

b. Drop in and execute single or double leg takedown.

5. Blocking a #1 strike using four wall defense #1.

a. Counter with break out into abanico/witik to head. Follow by circling arm and finalize with X-lock disarm.

b. Counter by passing stick through and executing strike #8 to face followed by X-lock disarm.

c. Counter with stick in armpit throw.

d. Counter with stick in armpit and bone break with disarm.

e. Counter by shooting arm under stick to disarm.

f. Counter by wrapping arm and locking the wrist. Finalize with butt strike to forearm and disarm.

6. Blocking a #2 strike using four wall defense #2.

a. Counter by passing the left hand around and disarming.

b. Counter by bringing the opponents arm to shoulder. Crank on wrist and elbow (opponent's thumb must be down) to disarm or break.

c. Counter with disarm on hip.

d. Counter with behind back armlock and shoulder crank.

 

9/4/04

1. Defense against low knife thrust using key-lock variation.
Opponent does right hand low thrust. Deflect with open palms and grab wrist with both hands. Circle opponent's arm cw with left and apply key-lock. Position right foot close to opponent. Step left foot ccw while bringing head to left knee to throw opponent to ground. Drop right forearm onto opponent's neck and bring body weight forward to finalize with choke and arm break.

2. Defense against overhead knife stab using key-lock variation.

Opponent does right hand overhead stab. Defect with open palms and grab with both hands high. Circle opponent's arm cw with left and apply key-lock. Position right foot close to opponent. Step left foot ccw while bringing head to left knee to throw opponent to ground. Drop right forearm onto opponent's neck and bring body weight forward to finalize with choke and arm break.

3. Defense against overhead knife stab using Kimura armlock.

Opponent does right hand overhead stab. Defect with right palm and circle into grab with both hands on wrist. Circle opponent's arm cw with right hand and apply Kimura lock. Drop to floor while trapping opponent's left leg in half guard to prevent him from rolling. Finalize with arm break.
