Originally
the word "Martial Art" meant an Art
developed for protecting oneself from
attack. If one masters this art
successfully one will always be able to
prevent harm from being inflicted.
Unfortunately, if you are attacked by an
opponent, but are preparing for this
attack by having a peaceful mind and a
body well trained, you will no longer
desire to fight with people. You will be
at peace with the world.
